Cheyenne explained to us:

“Wanda is 4 years old, and we have had her since the end of her 2-year-old year. A fellow trainer friend of my parents, Donnie Dickerson, had her before us. He told my dad that he had a horse that might work for me, so he got her ready, and then we went and picked her up. When we first brought her home, I was the one who pulled her off the trailer, and she leaped out of it and body-slammed into me. That was my first impression of her, but now we’re best buds. She is very sweet and very, very lazy. She loves people and is very friendly. It’s very refreshing to have such a loving mare!”

Cheyenne went on to explain:

“Wanda’s ability to perform well in any environment is amazing! I truly love her personality and how calm she is.” Cheyenne and Wanda have many significant accomplishments already under their belt together. This includes being Reserve Congress Champion in the 12-14 youth Western Pleasure. They also have numerous Top Tens at Fun in the Sun (Venice, FL), The Premier (Lexington, KY), and the Madness (Wilmington, OH).

Cheyenne wanted to give a shout-out to her always-supportive parents. She also wanted to mention Susan Simms, who she says “has always been a huge supporter of mine, and I will be forever grateful.” She went on to mention: “I also grew up around Donnie Dickerson and his son Taft, who is like a brother to me. Uncle Donnie has been my supporter from day one. Another group of trainer friends of my parents are Adam and Pasley Mathis. We stall with them at a lot of shows, and they are always on the sidelines helping me out.”

Cheyenne also mentioned she wants to follow in her parents footsteps and become a horse trainer. We have no doubt she is sure to continue her many successes into her future training career.
