Let’s Talk: Amanda Giombi Lorenz

Amanda & One Dirty Martini

“Capone” is a 2019 AQHA/APHA gelding, Amanda tells us “it has been a journey over the last two years figuring out buttons and working on becoming a team!”

Showmanship is starting to become one of their favorite classes, as well as the rail work classes. We look forward to watching this team take on 2024!

"My goal right now is to really continue to improve with him."

While Amanda’s goal is to continue improving her relationship with Capone, he is young, and a different caliber horse than she has owned and she wants to showcase his talent in the best way. Together they have been learning a lot, but still have a lot more to learn. Their goal for 2024 is the Pinto World Show!

“That would be my first world show, and we are working hard to make it there!”

"My career with Capone started in 2021 when I helped Jen take his sale photos and she said, you should buy him."

With a ten year working relationship, Amanda told Jen Bender, her trainer, to “figure out how to make it work” for Amanda to purchase Capone… and two years later here they are!

Jen is amazingly talented and so good to the horses. I wouldn’t be the rider I am becoming without her.”

The Jen Bender show team, my husband Matt, and my mom Carol also deserve a huge shout out because it really takes a village to be able to show Capone as much as I do in the year, and I couldn’t do it without them. Thank You, all!
